Investe São Paulo participated in the 6th Entrepreneur Fair, organized by Sebrae-SP, at Anhembi, in São Paulo. The Agency, together with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, Apex-Brazil, throughout the fair, offered presentations and technical consultants who could help companies better understand how to internationalize and take their products to international markets.

“We are taking the opportunity to introduce companies to Peiex (Industrial Export Extension Project) and even select some new participants. This fair shows the importance of jointing efforts of all government levels and the private sector to support small businesses,” said Sérgio Costa, director of Investe SP.

Peiex is a program developed by Apex-Brazil and operationalized by Investe SP to assist companies from São Paulo. The initiative seeks to propose strategies of operation in different functional areas of the businesses in order to promote improvements to their products, services, processes and management.

The Entrepreneur Fair started on Saturday, February 18, during a ceremony attended by the vice governor and secretary of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (SDECTI), Márcio França, representing the governor Geraldo Alckmin.

About the event

Organized by Sebrae-SP, the event, held from February 18 to 21, is expected to bring together an audience of 150,000 people and generate R$ 20 million in business.Visitors can attend the presentations and consulting advice covering various topics, including marketing, finance, trends, innovation, export and others.

According to França, in addition to being a business opportunity, the fair also contributes to the improvement and enhancement of businesses in São Paulo.“In a single place, entrepreneurs find accurate information, advice and success stories to guide the opening of their business.Entrepreneurs can also rely on the support from Desenvolve SP, a financial institution of the state government, which offers a range of options to small and micro enterprises, including the Juro Zero Empreendedor (Zero Interest to Entrepreneurs), in partnership with Sebrae, an initiative that leverages the investment in production,” said the vice governor.

The 2017 edition features 40,000 square meters and includes a structure of 424 stands and more than 15 attractions of Sebrae-SP.For the first time, the title of the initiative was “Entrepreneurial City,” which was defined based on the success of the model businesses, which reached full capacity throughout the period of the previous edition.Visitors could see the operation of an establishment following the most strict quality standards, defined by the following segments:automobile repair shop, beauty salon, e-commerce, restaurant, supermarket, stationery  and online fashion store.

The structure and format of the spaces were designed to remind of the routine of the city.According to Paulo Skaf, president of Sebrae-SP, a successful business is the one that always seeks innovation and creates opportunities to earn profits now and in the future.“We are attentive to everything and the fair is a showcase of the latest developments we are making available on the market, as services that integrate expertise, guidance and innovation through experimentation. We want the audience to experience the concepts of business management in practice, leaving not only with good ideas, but aware of the best practices,” he said.

The venue also has an area that includes several stands of exhibitors and sponsors; the service stand is called Sebrae-SP Office and the signaling of the Fair resembles street signs, poles and crosswalks. This edition also features seven model stores representing the segments of higher density and demand by the customers, as well as areas such as Credit Village, Sebrae Cinema, Clinic, among others.Admission is free.
